Just got back from Saturday set building at SHS. We had a great time building bird puppets. We started with oatmeal boxes as the bodies and went from there. I have my theatre production students make costumes out of recycled materials, so I have a lot of junk lying around, so the kids used odds and ends to create some pretty impressive birds. We mounted them on dowels and they are ready to fly for our production of Once On This Island, November 19. 20, 21, 22. If I had taken a picture, I would be able to post it. I'll try that later in the week.
